Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a debate that goes on inside people.
He said,
"My son, the battle between two wolves is inside us all
One is Evil

It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is good.

It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.

The grandson thought about this for a minute and then asked his grandfather:

The old Cherokee simply replied,

He has a brother Buddy who has a little bit more hair than Boo, but Buddy has the same cute face.

Its almost that time for Sundays to relax with a good NFL game. Here is the latest on what we can expect from Rex Ryan and the New York Jets for 2010.

So far in the pre season, The Giants beat the Jets (poor Eli got a win and he also got 10 stiches in his head) Game was the first game to be played in the new stadium.

And last night, the Rex Ryan was not thrilled with his teams performance (though they did beat the Carolina Panthers 9-3 in The Panthers house) It was Nck Fold three field goals that got the Jets their 9 points. Otherwise gangreen looked a little sloppy. Sanchez was sacked twice and nearly threw an interception on the Jets first drive. The Jets finished with 112 total yeards for the game.

American Hikers Sarah Shourd,Josh Fattal,Shane Bauer

Three American hikers, Sarah, Josh and Shane were hiking in the hills of Kurdistan, in a peaceful region of Iraq and today they are been detained in Iran (they have been held since July 31, 2009). Question I often ask myself is that when the news reports said they accidentally crossed an unmarked border during this hiking trip in the mountains of Iraqi Kurdistan were they set up to be taken as pawns by the Iranian government. The lines of the border between Kurdistan and Iran in this area are so remote that I am not sure that there is anyone on this border that are carefully guarding it!!! They were in a peaceful region of Iraq that is increasingly popular with Western tourists so why are these three innocent kids sitting in Evin Prison now and the word is that Iran accusses them of being spies. How convenient for Iran that they have no diplomatic relationship with the US.

These three Americans are all graduates of the University of California at Berkeley. As I write this today May 15, 2010 they have been held for 288 days. And all I do is ask why? And wonder why more Americans are not outraged at this.

To quote the freethehikers a web site set up by the parents of Shane, Josh and Sarah say that they care greatly about the world in which we live. They admire and respect different cultures and religions and share a love of travel that has taken them to many countries. That is why they went to Kurdistan, not because they wanted to enter Iran.

We hope the Iranian authorities understand that if Shane, Sarah and Josh were in Iranian territory there is just one reason: because they made a regrettable mistake and got lost. Please let them return home as soon as possible."

What's the key to happiness?

There are so many keys to this feeling. For me a big one is having people around you that love and support me. But then again I can be happy when I am alone.

A good thought for today is to be a friend to someone. Maybe try to put out what you want to receive. Isnt that's how you can create more happiness in your life.
